One of the most famous trees in the UK was cut down, and a 16-year-old boy has been caught.
It was cut down overnight at Sycamore Gap, which is next to Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland.
The Northumberland National Park Authority thinks that the tree, which is called Robin Hood’s Tree, was “deliberately felled.”
Toys were taken into custody by Northumbria Police on suspicion of criminal damage.
A police spokesman said that he is being held and is helping with the probe.
